AUTO safety lancets will no longer be available on the Drug Tariff from 1st April 2007 due to pricing issues with the PPA

The advantage of the patented ‘AUTO‘ is its simplicity and safety. There is no need to handle and load individual lancets and dispose of potentially contaminated needles. The actual needle itself is never visible, and only penetrates the finger tip for a fraction of a second before retracting automatically allowing safe disposal almost anywhere. The AUTO is suitable for just about everyone as it come in 4 different depth combinations:

Pink- Juniors (not infants)

Blue- Soft for thin skin

Beige- For normal skin

Green- For thick, calloused skin or for non-glucose tests which require more than 1 drop of blood.
